Early Art From Patrick Bonaduce!

Gah! I can't say enough how excited I am to be able to post some early sketches from Patrick Bonaduce. I've known Patrick since 2002ish(?) where we spent plenty of time in college playing basically the most Amplitude possible. I'm so happy to be working with him on this; not only because of his wonderful art, but also because he has great ideas for the design and mechanics of the game.

Make sure you check out Patrick's recent collaboration doing art for Kevin Snow's Twine game The Domovoi. I've alluded to it in the first post here, as well on as Twitter, but Kevin is also helping out with Kistka! The Domovoi 2 confirmed? Having these two working with me on this after putting out The Domovoi? JEEZ. So delighted.

Onto the art!

Elderly Hutsul man! I tossed the idea of the characters in the game wielding giant versions of the styli used for laying down wax designs on eggs to Patrick. I was afraid it might be as goofy as a giant KEYBLADE, but I think it came out really well! Comes off naturally.

Some half-started eggs! Patrick pulled from one of my favorite eggs for that top one, you can see a bunch of photos I took of pysanky my grandma Rose made through the years here.

Finally, some rough sketches of more "eggromancers." These are who the players in the game will be! I posted a lot about the lore of the game here, has a bit about the Hutsuls. Patrick's done a great job capturing their traditional garb.

Early-on art? Sure. Lovely as all heck? You're goddamn right.
